Chia Seeds have been a staple food for centuries, having been recently rediscovered as a valuable source of essential whole food nutrition. Chia Seeds are a very high source of fibre and a vegetarian source of omega-3 polyunsaturated essential fatty acids. They are an antioxidant and an excellent source of magnesium. They are also high in calcium (over 7 times more than whole fat milk) and high in iron (twice as much as spinach). Colour is the only significant difference between white and black Chia.
DIRECTIONS & USE: The suggested daily intake of Chia seeds is 2 to 4 tablespoons. Enjoy them as a snack or incorporate into your daily meals in salads, cereal, baked goods, yogurt and smoothies.
